A School Election is an election held Bi-annually in September. School Elections are used to elect school board members for specific school districts located in and adjacent to Mills County.

School Board Elections for September 8th, 2009

Notice is hereby given that Mills County School Board Elections will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009, in Mills County, State of Iowa.  See list of polling sites listed below.  Polls will open at noon, and close at 8:00 p.m., as provided by law.  Diebold election equipment will be used.  Any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place has the right to vote in the voter's vehicle.  For further election or voter registration information, please contact the County Auditor's office at 527-3146 or email crobertson@millscoia.us.

Equipment testing for this election will begin on Friday, August 28, 2009, at 10:00 a.m.  Testing will be conducted at the Mills County Engineer Facility located at 403 Railroad Avenue, Glenwood, Iowa.

Bill Agan - 252 votes = 7.21%
Dave Blum - 526 votes = 15.06%
Henry Clark - 697 votes = 19.95%
Tim Harms - 313 votes = 8.96%
Edward Lund - 212 votes = 6.07%
Rex A. Ruth - 302 votes = 8.65%
David Warren - 809 votes = 23.16%
Write-in - 382 votes = 10.94%

Malvern Community School District:
Vote for 2 At Large (term ends 2013)

Brenda Koger - 39 votes = 48.75%
Susan F. Stogdill - 37 votes = 46.25%
