A Special Election is any election that is not a regular scheduled election called for by any taxing authority in Iowa County for specific purposes as defined by the Code of Iowa.

There will be a Special IWCC Election held in Mills County, Iowa on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Mills County Voters will be asked to vote on the following public measure:

"Shall the Iowa Western Community College (Merged Area XIII) in the Counties of Adair, Adams, Audubon, Cass, Crawford, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby, be authorized to remodel, erect and equip buildings at the main campus and other enrollment locations, contract indebtedness therefor, and issue its school bonds in an amount not exceeding $22,500,000 for that purpose?"


Absentee Voting

Absentee voting is available in the Auditor's office until Monday, December 3rd at 4:30 pm.

Polls

Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. as provided by law. Any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place has the right to vote in the voter's vehicle. Absentee voting is available at the Auditor's office at the Courthouse Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Voters in the East Mills School District will vote at the Malvern Library. Voters in the Glenwood School District will vote at the Glenwood American Legion.
