The Building and Zoning Department provides quality service to the community in

The goal of the Building and Zoning Department is to provide excellent public
service, by expanding broadening and enhancing communication with our customers,
while maintaining a comprehensive countywide construction and code enforcement

PUBLIC NOTICE
MILLS
COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
A public meeting will be held at 6:30pm on Tuesday,
September 7th, 2010 at the Mills County Engineer Building; 403 Railroad Avenue,
Glenwood, Iowa for the County Planning and Zoning Commission to discuss and take
formal action on modification of the Mills County Zoning Ordinance Chapter 27,
Table 4.01: Use Matrix for V (Village District) Uses. Other items of discussion
and possible action are to amend or modify Chapter 27, Section 27.3.7; to
include vehicle washing establishments within Convenience Food Sales Use Types,
and Section 27.1.10; addressing new development of Pre-existing Nonconforming
Lots, and Section 27.2.22; addressing the definition of Special Use Permit.
All parties of interest are advised to be present and comment. Written
comments may be submitted to the Mills County Building & Zoning Office at 403
Railroad Avenue, Glenwood, IA, 51534.
