The mission of the Not Alone Youth Mentoring Program is to empower the youth of promise in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their personal potential. Through a collaborative program with community-based organizations, we provide social and mentoring opportunities to enhance the community connections of the youth.
About the Program
The Not Alone Youth Mentoring Program is a one-on-one, community-based mentoring program that matches adult mentors with youth mentees based on a variety of things, including similar backgrounds and interests. Once matched, mentors and mentees will spend one hour per week doing activities that they both enjoy, which could include:
Going to a museum
Hanging out and talking
Listening to music
Playing board games
Watching a movie
The Not Alone Youth Mentoring Program will provide training to mentors and mentees before mentoring begins, and throughout the mentoring process. Our program hosts multiple free activities and outings every year and provides monthly match support for mentors, mentees, and families.
If you are interested in signing your child up for mentoring or are interested in becoming a mentor, please email Bailey Kozimor or call 712-527-9699.
