Date: June 4, 2024


CANDIDATE FILING PERIOD: 

Persons interested in running for the open County offices in the upcoming Primary Election on Tuesday June 4, 2024, can pick up and turn in nomination papers at the Mills County Auditor’s Office. 


Persons interested in running for an office will need to select which political party they wish to run on: Democrat, Libertarian, and Republican. 


Candidate filing period will be from Monday March 4, 2024 – Friday March 22, 2024 at 5 pm.

ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL: 

Voter can submit requests for an Absentee Ballot starting Tuesday March 26, 2024


Requests can be made in writing or on an official Absentee Ballot Request Form. Voters must include the following on their requests:

  • Name
  • ID #
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Name and/or Date of Election
  • For Primary Elections only, political party
  • Voter Signature
  • Voter Signature Date

Absentee Ballot requests must be received by the Auditor’s Office no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024


Absentee Ballots, that request forms has been received for, will be mailed starting Wednesday May 15, 2024.
